Robert has a rich and diverse educational background that is only surpassed by his life and work experiences making him One of Silicon Valley’s Premier executive search consultants.
Robert obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology while attending San Jose State University and at the same time was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army serving as Recon Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and Company Commander for the 82nd Airborne Division during the Viet Nam Conflict where he excelled as a leader and began building his understanding, knowledge and experience as to what good leadership was really all about.
After completing his time in service, Robert entered the competitive world of High Technology Recruiting in 1980.
In Robert’s first three years working for the Recruiting Industry’s largest search firm, Management Recruiters Inc, Robert clearly distinguished himself, achieving numerous National Recognition Rewards for personal production. Robert then joined up with Furlong-Gates, Inc., one of Silicon Valley’s most successful Technology Retained Search Firms at the time, and again distinguished himself rising to Vice President within two years, after having successfully recruited and placed numerous High Tech Executives within Silicon Valley. Later on Robert, was recruited to become Director of WW Recruiting for Telseon Inc, an Internet Infrastructure Start-up, and was given the task to hire 300 Technical and Non Technical Professionals in 7 months, when unemployment was at its all-time low, and the competition for talent was as fierce as it ever has been. Robert’s leadership was clearly on display when he and his team accomplished what was considered, even by the Board of Directors, to be a Mission Impossible, feat!
